AENY STUDIO
Nayara Nascimento is a Brazilian-born, Canada-based artist, designer, and founder of Aeny Studio—a sculptural practice grounded in The Dissonance Method, her philosophical and material inquiry into the relationship between form, function, and emotional experience. Informed by her Indigenous and neurodivergent perspective, she creates sculptural objects that challenge conventional boundaries between art and design, utility and feeling.
Her work gives form to experiences often excluded from artistic discourse: fractured cultural identity, atypical sensory processing, and the nonlinear paths of healing and selfhood. By engaging the inherent agency of materials, her sculptures explore themes of rupture, resilience, and the power of imperfection to evoke emotional resonance.
Through Aeny, she expands the conversation around what sculpture can express—and how it can feel. Each piece invites viewers to consider the emotional weight of objects and to cultivate a deeper connection to their own embodied experience.
