STEFANO RONCI

Born in 1972, he graduated with honors in Architecture from the University of Florence in 1999. During these formative years, he met his first gallerist, Walter Bellini, director of the historic Ken’s Art Gallery in Florence.
In parallel, he pursued studies in Philosophy at the University of Florence, specializing in Aesthetics, and later completed a two-year postgraduate program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.

Since 2000, alongside his artistic and exhibition practice, he has been active in arts education.

In 2006, he was invited to participate in a group exhibition curated by Vanja Strukelj at Palazzo Pigorelli in Parma, highlighting emerging artists from Emilia-Romagna. He was a finalist for the prestigious Celeste Prize in both 2005 and 2006, curated by Gianluca Marziani. In 2007, he took part in BAC—the Audiovisual Arts Festival in Barcelona.

In 2010, he taught a course in Painting Techniques and Technology at the LABA Academy in Rimini. Since then, he has collaborated with WerkstattGalerie in Berlin.

In 2015, he participated in Macrocosmi, a group exhibition between Bologna and Berlin organized by CUBO, Unipol’s multifunctional space dedicated to contemporary art, with which he continues to collaborate. That same year, he began working with Galleria Adiacenze in Bologna.

In 2016, he was invited to exhibit at the International Photography Festival in Reggio Emilia. In 2018, he was selected by Massimo Pulini for the 3rd edition of the Rimini Drawing Biennale.

Since 2014, he has worked as a creative consultant for Saraghina Eyewear, overseeing the design and staging of the brand’s exhibition booths at major Italian and international trade shows.

In 2019, he was a finalist for the Swiss Original Handmade Creative Project, curated by Emmentaler Switzerland.
In 2022, he won the competition for the 10th anniversary of CUBO, with the work DiecialCUBO.
